Iced Sweet Tea Recipe





















Ingredients:
  • 6 black tea bags (I use Salada)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 4 cups cold water
  • 2 cups ice
  • Pinch of baking soda (optional- it takes any bitterness out of the tea)

Kitchen Tools:
  • Pot
    • Whisk
    • Pitcher/drink container (8 cups+ capacity)

    Directions:
    1. Bring 2 cups of water to a boil in a pot on the stove (or using a tea kettle)
    2. Take the boiled water off the heat, add 6 tea bags, and a pinch of baking soda
    3. Cover and allow tea bags to steep for 15 minutes
    4. Meanwhile, add 4 cups of cold water and 2 cups of ice to your pitcher
    5. Once the tea has steeped, discard the tea bags and whisk in sugar until dissolved
    6. Add the hot tea to your pitcher of cold water and stir to incorporate
    7. Place into the fridge until fully chilled. Enjoy!
